My experience of the usage of PMC is largely limited to what I've seen at places like the Naked Capitalist, Counterpunch, the Trumpist blog Moon of Alabama (now defunct?) The impression I got is that it is misleading to think people like that use it to talk about the intelligentsia the way Marx and Engels did. Plus of course, it is not at all clear what this PMC is actually managing?
Amusingly, the title is arguably backwards, the goal is to move from protest to politics. As to expecting protests to accomplish anything, that would require a free country. The endless failure of protests by the people shows I think it is not.
